so Thanksgiving has come and gone, I got to work Thursday from 12:30 PM to around 5 PM (when the store closed) and then Friday from 4 PM to 9:30 PM. means I missed dealing with my step-father's family...or missing out on the following:
cousin saying how she has no money...mind you, when I (helped) moved her (basically me, my step-father, and a friend of hers with her one son one day, me and her son the other day), the move included about 2 or 3 xBox 360's, 2 or 3 PS3's, about 4 TV's, 3 laptops, and a few computers. I can tell you where her money goes!
my step-father's sister stopping in. she just "retired" from her "job" taking care of this woman, Denise (wheel chair bound, limited verbal capacity) and is on Social Security now. however, she "volunteers" to watch Denise when her aides can't be there. so Thanksgiving, instead of spending it with her family (including her 90+ year old father), she spent it with Denise's family.
yeah, that's some of the family I deal with. now, the nice part is the fact that my younger sister came up from North Carolina, so we are dog-sitting until she leaves on Sunday. always nice to watch a dog that believes he is put here to be petted, yet listens quite well. take him for a walk, he goes around sniffing stuff, does his business, stops at the street corners to look for cars, and goes back when I tell him to. more importantly, over the summer, I learned (after he slipped out of his collar) that he does not tend to run away from you. he'll sit on the couch next to you, and if you pet him (or just put your arm on him...or let him lay on your arm or leg), before you know it, he's snoring away (and yes, he does snore). aren't dogs nice sometimes.....oh, and if you're asking, his mother (a black lab) was found pregnant on the side of the road, so he's basically a mutt.
and that's about it....back of my shoulders still hurt. think I did something a while back at work (lifting a bag out of the garbage can to change it and I fell something odd in my shoulders), and since I can't really afford a doctor's visit (part-time work....my health insurance has a $500 deductible before it covers anything), I deal. as usual. but things could be worse....at least I don't tend to break bones or anything!
so what's your week like? for me....time to start planning Christmas gifts and figure out how I'm paying for them...since I think I'm going to need new tires for my car. then again, since the tires being replaced have less than 20,000 miles on them (at least 60,000 mile tires), should get a deal on the new tires....now if I can get the tire place to figure out why my back tires make such a loud tire "growl"!

you know if you jacked up your back at work they should cover a dr visit with your workers comp.
