every year, the store I work at has each department carve out a pumpkin to represent the department. its a competition. last year I worked with one manager to carve our pumpkin, using my Dremel. this year I want to win...but I need help.

one of the designs I want to carve out of the pumpkin is a shopping cart. the tough part, though....I want to have the cart lit up. any suggestions how I can suspend the pumpkin pieces in a way that it appears to almost float? I'm debating between thread and buttons or fishing line.
