wow....New York State legislators actually did something right last night.....
Law passed allowing gay marriages in New York State
I so love everyone who goes "We were founded as a Christan Nation" and such....ranks up there with the person who said "Marriage is for producing children."
my responses....
1. try again....read the Constitution. SEPARATION of Church and State. we were founded for religious tolerance...and the writers of the Constitution went through the horrors of what happens when religion and politics mix.
2. as for the person who said marriage is for having children, he ran when I said "So a woman who has entered menopause, or someone who is infertile, should not get married?
I would go on, but I have a feeling most people here have liberal views. seriously, though....we have been in space, we have broken atoms apart, we have done so much.....get over the fact that some people prefer someone of the same sex over someone of the opposite sex. these people are not going to harm you or anything. and give someone who is gay/bisexual/trans-gender (or what not) a chance....you might find a he or she is a pretty cool person. I know I did....one of the biggest compliments I got in college was "Wow....a non-uptight straight guy."
