ahh, the joys of upstate New York. yesterday (Friday), we had a high of 41 F. today, our high is about 17 F. yup, we had about 25 F drop in a day! to go from F (Fahrenheit) to C (Celsius), use the following formula (yes, I was a science geek):

subtract 32 from the F temperature.
multiply that answer by 5.
divide that answer by 9.

you have the temperature in Celsius!

yup, gotta love upstate New York.

so what else? well, as some of you know, my cousin is going through a divorce. he has a tendency to call and talk and go in circles. so I've taken a new approach with him. pretty much being straight forward, to the point of being mean.

such things include:

no matter what he talks about his estranged wife doing, letting him know "It's not your problem now." he talks about her getting a bad deal for a car loan. well, he filed, she was served. her debt is now her debt. alone.

telling him how, when he freaks out and wonders what she'll do next, that he is acting like an abuse victim. he's starting to realize this. the fact that he's always worried about what she might do or what stunt she might pull.

letting him know enough of this reacting to things call. talk to his lawyer. keep proactive. she wants him to only have curbside visitation of his children (aka, he can pull up, say hi, and that's it). mind you, his youngest cries and throws a fit if he leaves. that includes if his wife (the kid's mother) is home. Conner, the youngest, simply wants to be around my cousin and that's about it. although the one time I watched him, he was asleep when my cousin left. he woke up and was staring at me for about 5 minutes, with the "What is going on?" look on his face.

so hopefully this starts to sink in. his wife is also treading a deadly game. last Sunday, she made a comment about me. suggesting that I did something against her (peeing in her coffee). according to her, she's taking it to a lab. mind you, the police were "You didn't see it or have video tape footage, so nothing can be proven."

here's what happens if she makes a claim against me:

1. my mom speaks to the owner of her company. this guy happens to like my mom as a person. to the point that, well, she could smash into his car and he would laugh it off. he golfs regularly with 3 family court judges.

2. lawsuit time. she's got a car. she has assetts now. I figure this is slander (verbal comments) and defamation of character.

3. she works at Wegmans. where I work. Wegmans fired a store manager one time because of complaints. my mom AND her friends, every time they go in, will file complaints against her and her friends.

my response? well, this past Wednesday, my cousin's wife called him, saying that their oldest has boy scouts. wondering if I could watch the other 2 while he's at scouts.

my response..."Nope." could I? yup. will I? nope.

sorry, don't make comments about me and ask for things. I will not be around her without anyone around me. as an adult. I'm not playing anymore.

so, time to get ready. I have to go into work an hour early. the person who was supposed to clear the lot of carts tonight didn't show up. so me and a manager are going to take care of it. joys.

and that's about it. I have a few evening shifts next week. need to meet with the Career Counselor at Roberts, make sure everything looks good for my resume' and that my interview is going good. I really want to get a job. and then, unfortunately, I have to go for another deferement on my student loan. its through Citibank. so I figure I should get one. after all, some of my tax dollars went to bailing them out!

that would be impossible, as our parents live an hour away and they are older so I would never think to put them under that kinda stress every three weeks!! I even feel bad for asking for help every few months....
