well, enough of the rant. thanks for the comments....I'll be working on replying to everyone over the next week. yes, I read comments and journals. I might not respond, though....for a few reasons:
1. if I have nothing really to say, I'm not saying a word.
2. I don't just "respond". I put thought into things. if you're wondering why, read about introverts. we really think things through.
so news for me:
well, I applied for a Resident Director postion at SUNY Canton. it's for one semester (about 15 weeks) and pays about $12,000. there are a few nice things as well...like it being the SUNY System, which means better pay. plus it puts me where I want to work. I figure that I have 5 1/2 weeks in a retirement system through New York State, and I need to be here to get the money from that retirement system. plus, working in New York State in the schools puts me in the Teachers Union here, which somehow has become a very powerful Union in the state.
I'm also waiting for a long-term sub position my Greece, the town I live in and the school district I graduated from, to be posted. its in the "high end" school...you know, where the sophomores have convertables of their own. also where Greece built a new performing arts buildling that was supposed to be for the entire district....yeah, right. well, this building is where the President of the US gave a speech last year as well!
also got my car's alignment fixed today. I forgot to check on-line for discounts. however, by using AAA, I got 20% off. so my alignment (with tax) was less than $65.
here's what the stats were (at least what was bad, anyone who can interpret them, please do so):
Left Front Toe was 0.27 and the specified range was 0.00 to 0.20
Right Front Toe was 0.22 and the specified range was 0.00 to 0.20
Total Front Toe was 0.49 and the specified range was 0.00 to 0.40
Left Rear Toe was -0.16 and the specified range was 0.05 to 0.25
Total Rear Toe was -0.10 and the specified range was 0.10 to 0.50
Total Rear Thrust Angle was -0.11 and the specified range was -0.10 to 0.10
so now the car is all happy and aligned. I had the tires balanced earlier this week (where the guy said the alignment was needed) as well. I keep them rotated and such (hey, Dunn Tire, free tire rotation).
so that's about all now. here's hoping for a phone call soon!
