well, sitting here today, I've heard nothing about the Spencerport job I interviewed for before Christmas. this kind of sucks, the entire waiting game. seriously.
however, I did find out that someone I work with knows people there. in fact, she refers to the one Assistant Principal who interviewed me as her uncle. he's a family friend. so she's putting in a good word for me this weekend....fingers crossed!
so what else? well, getting over the cold. my cousin served his wife with divorce papers. she hasn't done much about it. well, Friday, after being served, he got home, she said she had a doctor's appointment (at 8:30 PM on a Friday) and would be back afterwards. well, she got home around 6:45 AM. keep in mind, Christmas Day, with her 3 sons (1, 4, and 6) sick/throwing up, and my cousin in the same boat, she left around 8 PM, saying "I have free movie passes that I don't want to waste, so I'm going out," and left them alone (no vehicle) until around 5:45 AM that morning. yeah, mother of the year award here.
I told my cousin that he needs to make one phone call to her cell phone, be as innocent sounding as possible (since she already claimed he had a threatening tone), and if she does not respond or anything, call the police. get an official police record. figure that a judge will see the record, look at her, and say something like "You actually expect me to give you full custody of the children when there are police reports of you being out all hours of the night during the week and one weekends?" fight fire with fire, after all.
and read that a dear member of this site, SocietyPliers, recently passed. I will admit, I did not know him greatly. it takes a long time for me to really get to know people and for me to let people get to know me. its how I am. however, given the responses I have read (including those here on my friend's list), it reminds me of an old proverb a former professor of mine used to say:
"When we come into this world, we cry and the world laughs. You want to live your life in such a way that when you leave this world, you laugh....and the world cries."

and I just talked to the person from Spencerport. they decided to go in a different direction. he told me that I interviewed very well, my experience and such was excellent. however, they have chosen someone who was a long-term sub for them last year.
major league bummers! here's hoping Citibank will defer my student loans another year!
