well, another week has gone by. I got my new brakes. and then found someone 2 days later who would have done the work for parts and $30.... DOH! well, for $30, he offered to look at my back brakes and see if I need anything. so I might take him up on that offer (better than spending $130 for something I might not need).
still looking for jobs. what sucks is the fact that if I could afford to move elsewhere, the job search would be easier. but I'm pretty locked down here. long story short, my family loves borrowing money but hates paying you back. so I'm living paycheck to paycheck basically. my older sister owes me money, her plans for her economic thing when it comes in is to get a new counter top for her bathroom. well, I know the answer the next time she asks me to borrow money.
what else? work is work. I have about 34 hours next week. considering that part-time people are only supposed to get 32 hours (company policy), I think I'm doing good. now if I were only paid something decent. but oh well, it kind of pays the bills. all sorts of wackiness next week too:
Sunday I get out around 8 AM
family birthday party around 2 or so (what do you buy a 6 year old?)
Work at 6 AM on Monday putting stuff back (we're having our floors stripped and waxed)
work at 2:30 PM on Tuesday (until 9 PM)
Off Wednesday (hey, new comic book day!)
work 7:30 AM to 4 PM on Thursday
Overnights Friday and Saturday.
yeah, this sucks!
what else? well, did laundry today and vacuumed my room/dusted. see, for dusting, I go around with the hose attachment to my vacuum cleaner and suck up all the dust. figure that way its left in the vacuum cleaner instead of floating around to fall back later. logic, right?

Breaks, they only slow you down!
I don't know what else to say, when i really wanted to leave i was too broke to, now things are looking up. There is stability hunkering down. The economy sucks now and shits in turmoil. Fortunatly your chosen profession should be rather resession proof.
