well, I'm done for the semester. with both Internship and classes. yesterday was my last day at my internship for the year, today is the last day the school is open for the year. I start up again January 3rd. so I get some time to relax! its nice.
I also have officially finished all my classes and have grades in now:
A, A-, and Pass. the one class (Internship) is pass/fail. that is also the one class I might fail next semester, due to what I have to complete. most of the work in that class for me is more personal. as in counseling. not so much what I'm learning at the internship. aka, I could not do the internship, focus on the counseling, and still accomplish what I need to accomplish....
work is still work. I only have about 20 hours next week. the way the schedule works, it would look like I have 20-some hours. but I don't. because I'm not working this Saturday. so I lose about 8 hours. I might make it up somewhere, though. pick up a shift or two. we'll see.
so what does that mean? I have little to no money. joys. I'm in the red....AGAIN. that sucks! but I'm not spending money on food and gas. so that's good. plus I should get a nice refund check of about $2500 on January 12th. of course, my mom is "Are you going to be able to lend me some of that money?" in that tone sayign "I'm expecting you to lend me money." mind you, the last time I lent her anything, it was $300. she promised me she would pay me back by mid-November so I wouldn't be screwed financially. I made that abundantly clear to her. she nickeled and dimed me to pay me back...by mid-December. and a lot of it was me needing money (or gas) for the week.
so this time around, I think the conversation will be:
"So how are you going to pay me back?"
"With my tax returns."
"But won't you need that to pay your bills?"
"uhhh..."
"I want to know, because last time you promised by the end of October, then mid-November, and it was mid-December when I finally got paid back....because it put me behind and I needed money for gas!"
"I don't want to pay the late fees."
"Ahh, so I can get screwed over so you can pay your stuff on-time."
or something along those lines.
it should be fun!
well, that's about it...I'm looking for food. time to play some Halo 2, get some food, and get ready to work tonight from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM. and then a family Christmas party. and then who knows. I hope to survive!
and, I promise to go through my entire friend's list and comment on everyone's journal....at least once! if I haven't commented on your latest post! yes, I've been a slacker....sorry!
