I'm debating buying a new game console. mind you, I don't need top of the line. but you can only play the video games you have so many times before things start driving you nuts!

on other news, I've found out information about this Neighborhood Enforcement Team and Certificate of Use program the City of Rochester is trying to push through. on the surface, seems like a good idea. but I have troubles with a law that states that someone can be denied if they are not "...of upstanding and good moral character" without defining it (and having the Director of NET be the one deciding this!)
plus, what is the use of a program that was budgeted $1 Million in expenses, and in less than a year, cost the city over $5 Million? something is wrong there!
read here for more information. and the mayor's comments of "Its oly $2 a week....don't run a business if you can't afford that" is kind of laughable when he has supported a fast ferry who's ridership and losses he won't say (nor anyone else....they claim they can't give out the numbers due to non-existant competition....or they haven't taken notes in City Council regarding this) and poured millions into a project that is a failure....well, except that he owns many of the buildings who's owners financially benefitted from it!
nice city I live in, huh? thank God he's not running for mayor again...I just hope whoever is coming in can fix the problems....or at least start to!
