So found out yesterday that my temp assignment of 6 months ends next Thursday ...

Hopefully the late winter provides a new opportunity.

Saw "Children of Men" ... One reviewer called it "gloriously depressing" which I think is somewhat accurate... The movie moves very quickly, has an amazing visual style and is quite post-apocolyptic ...

Closest movie might be the brilliant "28 Days Later" (*****)...

I barely spent much time in Lewiston/Auburn, but I think that it's safe to say that I'm much happier here than I would have been near the banks of the Androscoggin. smile

65 Degrees and partially cloudy on an early January Sunday in Maine ....

I know there is global warming but this is just crazy ...

Amazingly nice to go for a walk and be comfortable wearing sandals ...

go outside and its May .. even some of the trees are getting confused with some buds...

Had a lovely New Years and Christmas and got some...

In the Boston Globe Calendar section ...

They sometimes have a little piece about 10 random songs on the IPod ....

So I will do it plus star rating .. I also can't skip songs I really don't like

#1 "Come On, Let's Go" by Los Lobos (La Bamba Soundtrack) ... (3 stars out of 5 - par) (not rated before)
#2 "Do It Sweet"...

My favorite bond is definitely Connery ... I thought Brosnan did a great job .. and actually getting my Mom two Brosnan gifts ... Remington Steele season 1 and the movie "The Matador" ***1/2 .. Which is fun and very, very arch .. Extremely well performed by Brosnan and Greg Kinnear

I heard Jayne had a very high I.Q as well,
its been said the whole dumb blonde thing with her was a huge act, but that she become obsessed with the whole self publicity thing to keep herself in the headlines.
Really tragic what happened to her.
I think if she had played her cards right, she could have done better quality stuff down the road

I saw the new Bond Casino Royale *** ... Daniel Craig's early bond is extremely diff then the other bonds .. much much more rough and tumble ..

I thought the accountant was extremely cute, but didn't did the hispanic woman early in the movie at all ...

Wil Wheaton called it the best bond ever in its blog .. It was OK but prefer Pierce Brosnan so far ...

Favorite Bond for me by far and away is Goldfinger ***** .. .That's the bond you need to see if you have not already .. Odd-Job and the hat .. Goldfinger, Pussy Galore, etc .. A really wonderful film.

It was terribly english... I even had mushy peas! (Not on purpose though, I don't really like them mushy.)

The beef was fantastic, the potatoes and veggies were even better, but my yorkies didn't rise. They still tasted good though. smile

Tough loss for Rutgers ...

Cincinnatti came in and just took it to RU ...

They were very hyped up for the game and Rutgers came out flat.

Even with a 30-11 loss though, Rutgers is still 9-1 and #15 in the polls and #14 in the BCS ...

It leaves only 2 undefeated teams in I-A football (Ohio State after the great game vs....

Sorry, what will be awkward?
I'm moving from SLC to Boise, about 400 miles (road, not straight line).

I'm grateful for having parents who taught me that I could do things for myself, and that I have the right and responsibilty to make my own decisions.

Oh, and I hope you feel better soon.

I have not seen "Stranger than fiction" yet...
but a friend of mine said it was really good, and that Emma thompson is excellent in it.

I'm thankful for my friends, and for family ....my four cats,

Rutgers is now 9-0!! and should be top 10 in the BCS ... Barring some more upsets I think its Ohio State #1, Michigan #2, Florida #3 .. and then USC, Florida, Texas and possibly Arkansas and Notre Dame(who isn't that good) in front of Rutgers .. so I will say a #9 BCS rating ...

Its just amazing for an alum who saw them...

Was going to go to a party in New Hampshire today ... but 2 inches or rain, wind warnings, flood warnings, etc .. make it seem good to have a lazy day ...

What do you like to do in the rain ...

Oh and Rutgers now ranked #16 and 7-0 ... have a huge game in 2 thursdays when Louisville comes to Rutgers ......

i'm not from ohio originally, so i certainly don't have buckeye blood. i lived in columbus for 2 years, and honestly, not being a fan and being around those people was one of the most annoying things to ever go through.

grew up in west virginia, so i always pull for wvu and marshall.
