Ahhh.... 2004. Can't say as I feel vast differences. Although, every Jan1 makes me feel like the slate is clean. Now I get to dirty it up again!
Any resolutions being made? I haven't made any in a couple of years now. Seems I get more accomplished when I don't plan them. I mean, hell, look at what I achieved last year - more excircise, a better way of eating, drinking a lot more water, financial plans, etc... This year I just want to stay on that path. Maybe save some money and pay off some bills. That's about it, though. Well, I would like to get some fake nails while I'm in school. They really make a french manicure look fabulous. ,o)
Mom's friend Hanne loaned (loaned? lent?) me her "gifts from the kitchen" book tonight. I'm jotting a bunch of ideas from it. It came at the perfect time, too, since a friend of mine will be moving out for the first time in a couple weeks. I'm going to make him a breakfast basket; orange honey, some cinnamon spread, and strawberry butter. To top it off I'll throw in some bagels, waffles and maybe some capuccino mixes. Whee! We've known each other since we were 14 or 15 - I can't believe it's been so long! Funny thing is his birthday is 3 or 4 days later, on Feb1. He'll be joining the Van crew and myself at my little birthday cheesecake shindig. Hopefully he'll bring his girlfriend, I haven't met her yet.
Looks like Vancouver's going to be super cold this coming week. I hear the windchill will feel like -19c. Ouch. I don't much like the idea that I have to start classes at the end of next week, with the cold and all. But it's rare that we get these numbers so I'm sure it won't be long before it's raining and mild again.
Brrr... I'm going to climb into the flannel fortress. +o)
