The simple pleasure of pedaling my bike does wonders to clear my head of the often daily toil that rattles in my skull. Today was especially good since my drivetrain is brand new and shifted/pedalled quiet and flawless. Thank heaven for my friendship with the lead mechanic at my lbs who managed to fix what no one else could.

Work is still personally satisfying, but economically and management-wise very difficult. This should be ironed out before I leave for my holiday break in a week. It damn well better be or I am gonna have to break my foot off in somebody's ass!

I scored two CD's this weekend by The Gun Club that Sympathy re-released earlier this year; "Miami" and "The Las Vegas Story". I had them on album and cassette, but had worn them out. They were so fucking amazing and so under- appreciated in their day. There are very few modern bands that can even hold a candle to their brilliance. The lyrics are very haunting and dark howled over an amalgamation of blues, country, and rockabilly thrown into a punk rock meat grinder. One of my all time fav bands. skull

There are a few people I would like to beat with my drivetrain. mad Hey I was wondering about some kind of service I have heard about where you can get a soldiers name that is in combat to send them stuff. You know whatever little things or stuff they might want or even just being a pen(email) pal. Do you know anything about this? I would like to do this. Thanx, El Belly. which BTW has shrunk considerably in the last 8 months. I have about 18-20 lbs to go to be right where I wanna be. oink

Now, you would thing that i my line of work I'd be an authority on adopting servicemembers. Alas, I am not. Josephene, however, has adopted a Marine (just one of the many things to love about her), she'd be the person to ask. Tell her I sent you, I think she gets a commission.
