How to make for a nice afternoon. Take sunny weather in the low 50's, add a crazy sphincter-clenching mountain bike ride, mix in Zeke blaring through your headphones, and top it off with a dollop of personal aggression/angst. Hellfire, daddy-o! I chilled out on the way home with some Joy Division. Maybe I am just too high-strung or drink too much coffee as I am...

I've been kicking around the idea of getting a 'cross bike for a couple of years now. If you get one, let me know how it goes.

I am thinking saturday or sunday would make for good riding days. I hung out with the kids at fastermustache.org. If you don't know 'em you gotta know 'em.

The simple pleasure of pedaling my bike does wonders to clear my head of the often daily toil that rattles in my skull. Today was especially good since my drivetrain is brand new and shifted/pedalled quiet and flawless. Thank heaven for my friendship with the lead mechanic at my lbs who managed to fix what no one else could.

Work is still personally satisfying, but...

There are a few people I would like to beat with my drivetrain. mad Hey I was wondering about some kind of service I have heard about where you can get a soldiers name that is in combat to send them stuff. You know whatever little things or stuff they might want or even just being a pen(email) pal. Do you know anything about this? I would like to do this. Thanx, El Belly. which BTW has shrunk considerably in the last 8 months. I have about 18-20 lbs to go to be right where I wanna be. oink

Now, you would thing that i my line of work I'd be an authority on adopting servicemembers. Alas, I am not. Josephene, however, has adopted a Marine (just one of the many things to love about her), she'd be the person to ask. Tell her I sent you, I think she gets a commission.

Yikes, what a weekend. I started out spending all day Friday working on getting some software installed on my computer. After several attempts, tech support calls, and no avail I blew it off. So then I ran some errands prior to going on a god-awfull date that I set up via an online hook-up. Ugh, did it suck. She was way too uptight and PC....

Wow phuckin, Turkey dance lessons this weekend with Mom up in VA. I had fun even if she worked me over as she often does. I have now been officially divorced for about a month. It is a good thing, but strange. I mean the last time I was single Clinton was still in his first term, nobody knew who Monica Lewinsky was, our war...

You rock Big J. I hope you make it back stateside safe & soon. The trail I took you on was demolished by that hurricane last year or whenever . So I rode a new one EVMB built to replace it called freedom park. It was even better. Killer flow, lotsa a jumps, bridges, crazy log a-frames and real fast. If it was about 5 miles longer it would rule. I will just do it a few times next time I am up there. Just a lonely jew at x-mas. oink
jerry031:
You are a funny fucker. I'd love to go to freedom park, it sounds awesome. I may have to go back out there some day just to ride it.

Dood! Quite alot. I have been officially divorced for two weeks now. My house is quiet and peaceful. I banged my knee up pretty good a couple of weeks ago by putting a 1" deep hole into it whilst pretending to be Evel K. Fortunately nothing was broken or torn, but I have stayed off it. I will get back out there this weekend. It is weird to be "on the market" again after nine years. I am enjoying myself yaking it up with people I have never met. I may actually go out with one or two. Rule number one is that I have to be honest with myself in that I do not need to settle for any leg that comes along. Fuck that, gross. I am heading up to Va Beach for turkey dancing lessons and San Francisco (damn pinkos!) for X-mas/New Years. I will be rolling hard like a criminal, you know it. Stay safe out there; keep 'em flying! oink

Well, lets see. I just returned from Va Beach to spend time with the Mom and my Bro as well as help continue to sort through my father's belongings, biz stuff, etc. He passed away in May. frown

I went and saw an old friend of mind's band, The Gonowheres which was fun while I was up there. They call their sound "Dismal Swamp Punk" which...

Yessirree, I met up with Mr jerryb this past weekend for a b-day ride/schvitzfest in Wmsburg. I dig turning cats on to one of fav local trails from my old home state. Mr J seemed amused by my ridiculous blather and he was okay for a flyboy metalhead, nyuk, nyuk! wink Good luck in the Far East and goble up plenty'o'Lumpia whilst there. biggrin

I love trains. Hop on, grab a spot, close me eyes, zone to some tunes, and I am there. Cycling is more fun though if I have the time. There are plenty of urban obstacles to ride down, over, and off of both to and fro. I am looking for a front desk/dental ofc mgr for a 3 day/week salaried position; experienced prefered. Anyone interested send a resume to my email. Ciao. oink
