ok, i firmly believe that when one door closes, another one opens.
i was riding my bicycle, and i passed a guy i know, and in the course of talking, he told me about a place that was empty. and who owned it. so i approched the lady, shes about 85 years old. turns out shes anxious to have someone in the place, and she really wants to sell it.
now in gonna sound like trading spaces, or while you were out, im so addicted to those shows.
well, it has three bedrooms, a dining room, and a living room in the original part of the house, that was built around the turn of the century. the kitchen, bath, and pantry were added in the depression era.(the one in the 30's, not the one in the eighties) it has a comfortable sized yard, and a great plank porch. the outside is aluminum sided, has black shutters and the windows are all trimmed in a deep bloody looking red. all in all, i would call the place charming and cozy.
it has a two and a half car garage, so i will have plenty of room for my art studio, and to build motorcycles, and still park my truck out of the elements.
the rough part is waiting. she didnt have a set figure in mind, as far as price, and i have to convince her i will take good care of the home she raised 8 children in. for those of you who pray, please send an encouraging word up. if you dont, some positive energy would simply smack ass.

upon re-reading that, i sound like an over excited housewife, but i have always felt a persons home was the best refuge, and the structure i live in has always been a priority for me.

a pre-emptive congratulations to you! if she doesn't seem to trust you will take care of her home, you could always offer to just give it a trial week, and if she doesn't like the way you run things, then you will give the house up. maybe a suggestion.
