today i learned somethings.
1) how to access my computer remotely because
a) this coffee shop has some sort of block and dont allow certain websites to display.
b) that the waitress is evil, and she purposely brings me cold refills
and
2) hotels dont think its permissable to bring your motorcycle into the room with you, even when its a kick ass chopper, and you really dont want it stolen.
a) they are wrong
b) they are fuckin wrong
so i decided to take a road trip, and since i wasnt allowed to take my kids into a foreign country for three to six months, i decided to ride my favorite scooter. i have always loved this bike, i found the frame in the back of a shop, and it was love at first site. it had been painted bright red, and had a shitty tank on it, with hippy stickers all over it, and i knew i had to save it. this bike carried me the day both of my sons were born, i rode it to my wedding, and to my final divorce hearing. i have ridden her from coast to coast and to mexico and back up PCH all the way to canada. its not exactly the thing though, when you are sick. shes a rigid frame, and im about beaten to death. i have to rest earlier and earlier everyday as we progress. but thats ok, because it makes me enjoy the trip more, as i have more time to look around.
i asked the hotel manager last evening, for a ground floor room. he said all he had were rooms for two, and wouldnt rent me one. i told him i didnt mind the extra charge, but he wasnt to be swayed. i guess he was worried if the second jesus' mom came around looking for a place to squat, he didnt want to be the villain. well, its because of this, that i say the next instance is his fault and not mine. not wanting to leave my beautiful machine out in the parkinglot, at the mercy of theives and sandstorms, i proceeded to ride up to the second floor. i was careful, and didnt tear up the building, but they still acted like i had just pissed on one of thier mothers.
the nerve of some people.
cops thought it was funny, but they arrested me anyway. im out on my own recognizance. dont tell anyone, but i wont be making it to the court date. fuck the system.
i will be making my border crossing tommorow, and im not sure if i will have internet access anymore.
