Merely a visitor, though known to me, I couldn’t bring myself to welcome This friend. This foe. He had left me waiting, — and I had waited beyond my time for some reason and some season In which I would contact him. Necessity prevails, when all else fails … There is a light, some say, and he knows the way. The black dog darkened; lay earth on me.
