I’m thinking about starting a little research project on bottom of the pyramid business models (business that’s structured to serve the poorest first).
What’s interesting is how our media and our culture seems to muddy the water to try and control our world views and manipulate the way we think.
This is what gave me the idea, I want to get some clarity. By educating yourself you can overcome the easy hate that’s so readily available. Yes, it’s more challenging to get clued up but it’s worthwhile.
You don’t need to be Buddha to be enlightened, you just need to escape the cage of ignorance that we’re encouraged to consume.
I’m driven by love and compassion. I don’t know what I’m going to do with the knowledge yet, it may just sit in my head for a while and give me a sense of learning achievement, but maybe one day I can use it to make the world a better place. Who knows? Maybe it’ll inspire someone else to do the same.
By doing this I’m not going to understand everything about the way the world works because I don’t think anyone can ever figure it all out, but by simplifying my view I can gain some deeper knowledge and understanding. I believe that’s the best way of cultivating peace - if this was done on a massive scale, the potential would be phenomenal. One can always dream!
