The spring arrived in a week.
It was so nice and sunny yesterday it made me feel really relaxed. I decided to go to Brighton for a day trip: I usually hook up with my cousin there, but she never answered my text this time.
The weird thing there was that the coast itself: right were the sea meets the beach, was really misty. The rest of the town was bright and sunny, but when I was on the beach it was easy to lose the peirs in the swirling mists. It made the crumbling old (west?) peir look even more creepy than normal.
Napping on the train coming home put me in a lathargic mood, but I dragged myself out to see Matmos. They are a weird band: the first number was made up of one of them spanking the other (to get a rythm), while the spankee thumped the floor (for a counter rythm). That gives you some idea.

Our spring equinox consisted of much drinking and walking in massively pouring rain. It has been so dry this winter, very un-oregon like, so the rain has really made all the bulbs and buds pop out. Whoo!
Have you heard The Kings of Convenience? We saw them recently, and I was amazed! Very melodic, thoughtful, fun riffs and lyrics and perfect control of the crowd. They had everyone in a hush of reverence. Good stuff.
