Twas the Night Before my party to celebrate All Hallows Eve, and all through my house,
Goblins, Ghosts and Ghouls stir, even the mouse (well okay Paris is close enough!)
The "Evil Spirits" are ready to pour, even the devilish delights are all ready to go,
Now to sit and wait and hope everyone shows.
The games are all out and ready to be played,
hell I'm even torturing the guests with my live Red Wings Game.
There is also a Photobooth ready to capture the evils of the night,
I don't know about you but I am sure ready for an evening full of darkness, creepyness and fright.
CANT WAIT TIL MY ANNUAL HALLOWEEN BASH!
So my Sister is coming over this evening to bake with me. Im not much of a baker at all. They always say you can either cook or bake, and well I'm one hell of a good cook! But last year I baked and totally effed them all up! Jess had to come save me then too! LOL I forgot when you make the box cupcakes there are actually two dozen batches and I poured all the batter into one batch and it overflowed and I almost set the oven on fire. I really need to get into more baking because I've got a beautiful Kitchen Aid stand up mixer and sooo many glorious baking tools. So my mom got me this cake stand to die for. Its a spider web with a spider dangeling over the top. I fell in love!!!!!! I'll make sure to snap shots of my place before guests arrive.
So last night I did another set for Zivity and had a bit of a meltdown before my client arrived. I was so freaking stressed out then on top of it my wireless trigger was shitting the bed and I had a bit of a cry meltdown. Poor Dougie. So I think I've been so stressed out because Im shooting more then 5 times a week now and doing all of my own editing which is a royal pain in my ass. On top of it I had to finish the editing for a wedding client so I think that mixed with me preparing for my party just burned me out. I can't wait until my stuff is clear and I can afford an editor. I was a total dumbass in my early 20's and racked the shit out of a bunch of credit cards and it was close to $35,000.00. I'm now down to $7,200.00. Everything I make on my photography I throw on the last card. I vow that once that last one is paid off I'm going to go on a studio hunt and hire an editor. Doug offered to go to school and learn and do it but I was like "Oh thanks sweetie.. I love you for wanting to help out but your color blind and I'm sure if you did the color balance people will end up purple LOL". He does however come as my back up photographer when I shoot weddings. He is reallly learning and taking it all in. Hes come on most of my shoots (not the nude ones) but anything else he has come and helped out.

I find that trying to balance out my shooting with time to edit is working decently well......sometimes I'm still to busy, but I try to leave myself a fairly light schedule in the 2 weeks after a wedding and push out bookings to the following week when I can.
