I know how totally unlike me this is to make loads of blog entries, however, I believe the end might be in sight. No. I'm not gonna top my self. Let me explain.
The 3 of us stopped at my dads last night, bless him. I think he was trying to hint at us moving in full time style like, but I'm not convinced. Anyway, sorted it so somebody would come look at our boiler today. They said afternoon, I said fine. It only took us an hour (ish) to get from one end of the city to the other, but I guess that what happens with my dad living out in the sticks (btw, deepest darkest suburbia is looking quite plesant right now and I think we might move up here into our own place at some point soon ish, but we'll see!).
Got home, and I went to go pick my car up from where it was left last night.
Goodnews! It started. So I gingerly took it home, and an hour later the guy was there to sort they boiler. I thought "Way hay! We're on a roll!"
Turned the elecie on to the system, and the power to the whole house goes off. This is new. So we try again. Go up stairs, water by the pump. He thinks the pump is fecked. Wants 60 for a new one. I can get one for 20, and fitted. Anyway he disconects the pump as, like I said, the pump worked the other day the problem was definately boiler.
He goes down stairs. Opens it up. Tinkers. It works! Turns it off. Takes money leaves. HUZAR.
But...
I went at looked at the pump. There was no water as such round the pump electrics, but it was round the Earthing colar (the bit round pipes that makes sure it's not going to give you an electric shock in anyway at all when you touch copper pipes! Very complicated I know! Good job I have been training as an Electrician! Woo!), so I disconect that, reconect pump. Turn power on. All stays on, and power works! Fantastic! This is looking good!
Went to boiler, to turn boiler on. Nothing. Same problem as before. Shit pants. Rang company up, complained my ass off, and they're coming back tomorrow morning at some point.
So I drove, carefully, up to my dads again with mitch and laura in tow. Got there. Couldn't find house keys. Shit. Turned the car around, got half way down the street, put clutch in, 1st to 2nd, take foot of clutch. Clutch stays down to floor. Piss ants. Decided to walk back down road to my dads (noticed house kids had fallen just out of sight! Grrr!). Anyway we got mitch into the house, I forced the car into first, started car and managed to limp it back outside my dads (took me 20 minutes to travel maybe 300 yards tops!), and it's stopped here now.
Basicly Had progress, now don't. Poop.
Roll on tomorrow, watch this space kids. Same bat time, same bat channel!
Oh also I'd like to thank Doll_, melanieK, MaliceMae, Orchid, and my old friend _Interrobang_ for their comments and warm thoughts. Cheers muchly kids! They actually helpped me. I printed them off and burned them for warmth. Nah, just kidding, but they did really honestly help.
