I want to start out by saying that I don't mean to come down on or underappreciate any of my current friends. They are all wonderful people. I mean, none of them will ever read this but I wanted to say it regardless. I just really need to find people who are more likeminded to myself and people who share some of my stranger interests.

All of my life I have been into the creepy, bizarre, unsolved and odd cases, horror, ghosts, hauntings, UFOs, etc. It's a huge passion of mine but not many people I know really share these interests. I love coming across a good creepy mystery, internet rabbit whole, ghost video and so on. I love sitting in my chair with all the lights off listening to something creepy on YouTube. I want to go check out hauntings, creepy places, use Randonautica to find creepy or odd things. At work I usually listen to horror stories narrated by the YouTube narrators. I obviously still see all this people as horrible but it doesn't mean I am not fascinated by it. I love true crime and serial killer knowledge/trivia. I've listened to the Jonestown death tapes and recorded segments of Jones preaching. I love that chill you get when the hair stands up on the back of your neck and the adrenaline rush you can get. I love following strange cases both confirmed true and speculated example Maura Murray (confirmed) or Joanna Lopez (speculated). I get really excited when something new pops up but I can't really talk to anyone about it. I can't really talk to anyone about all these things.

I know I could go on the internet, find forums, discussions, groups etc. and join those. I probably will do that. However, I want to meet people I can actually hang around with and sit and discuss things like the topics above. I want people I can go exploring with and go on adventures with. For example, this year I really want to take a ride down Clinton Road, known to be the most haunted road in the US. I have a person or two interested and that's great but they are more interested for getting out, travelling and hanging out. That's is awesome and I don't want to downplay the value of that but I also want people who would be in the same state of excitement as me.

The problem is, I don't really know how to go about this? For one, I work 10 hour nights most weeknights and 8 hours every other Saturday. So I don't have as much time to get out and meet people. Second, I wouldn't really know where to look. I would definitely prefer people around my own age, I am 36, but could hang out with younger people as long as they weren't too young or immature. I am really enjoying life now but that's something I want to enjoy more again with likeminded people. I've honestly rambled on enough. If you have any advice or ideas to help me out, they would be much appreciated.
