A few days ago, I promised to a couple people in the chat that I would recap the events that happened in my life durring May 2002 that I have dubbed "Fear and Loathing in Santa Cruz": (Names will be changed to protect the psychotic)

I thought it might be clever to post the journal FAQ in my journal, so here it goes
01. How do I update/edit/delete my journal?
While logged in, click the Preferences button on the top right of your browser window. Click the journal tab, and you will see a box to update your journal, and links to edit your last 12 journal entries. You cannot...

I hate masculenity. I hate femininity. I hate learned social rolls that serve nothing more then to frustrate, derail and jam the gears of positive and worthwile social interaction. I hate the fact that everyone needs a drug of some sort to put up with their everyday existence, weather it be smoked, drank, shot-up, read, or prayed to. As I sat in my car outside...

i work at a liquor store, and there are people waiting for their whisky at 9am..........
it really starts to get to you after a while........
im even watching myself slowly become an alcoholic, and having a very hard time preventing it
don't worry, there are plenty of us who are incapable of feeling real love........lately i don't feel anything at all, but if you wait for a while, things will hean in some other direction
the only constant is change

Remember: anal cunt is your friend. I mean they just give you two reasons with that title.
Think of this entry as a profound silence. Say what you will.

So, how would one go about hearing a recording (perhaps a CD) of your band and your lovely voice? I'm curious. If things had been different, I might have be cool enough to have a band, but alas no. But I do sing for myself and am always interested in vocals. Let me know if there is a way.
Straddle, straddle, straddle.

I agree with you that depression does stem with compairing myself to imposed social standards. That is a large part of it. Then of course, I beat myself up for compairing the reality of my life to my own imposed standards, which are sometimes not realistic. I feel a bit better today, although I think it is because I have the distraction of work to occupy my mind. I have a lot of errands to do after work (which I hate doing), so I'll have to see how I feel later when I get home. Here's hoping for the best! Sigh...
When I came home from school today, there was this odd beetle type thing on the ceiling. I caught it in a jar, because it's mightly weird looking and I felt compelled to find out what it is. I searched for several hours online through several insect identification websites, but no luck. What the hell is this thing? Does it bite? Anyway I left when...

Insects are fun. Especially huge colorful and poisonous ones. We don't have many of them here ;-(.

So my band played possibly the last show with my good friend and guitar player Nick. He's going to Europe indefinitely, which means he could be back in the month or never. We played with a band from Portland called "One Day War". They were very cookie-cutter punk rock. I think they tried to avoid talking to us after we played. Maybe it was the...

ROPO hehe don't you just love it there?
So yesterday I was supposed to see the Dandy Warhols, but the person who I got to take my shift at work bailed at the last minute, so I sold my ticket to a friend. I really wasn't too upset by it until they got home from the concert (shortly after I went to bed) and woke me up with their rants and raves about...

did you stand outside your neighbor's window with the mask on?? well? maybe you should take a shit on their lawn (with the mask of course)...if you want to get their attention, i think that'd do the trick. plus, these are the sorts of things that'll keep you in the present moment, see! i'm just full of great advice...
I got my Soviet gas mask in the mail today and I am totally excited to find fun and entertaining things to use it for. I got home from my sociology class about 45 minutes ago thinking that I was just going to sit around for a while before going to work in 2 hours with nothing much to do. Boy, was I wrong. I...

i think you should head on down to the nearest conveinience store and tell the clerk that you just got hired, and are supposed to come in and train today. tell him that you have SARS, but it's 'no big deal'...

I feel sick. Not an I'm ill kind of sick, but a deep down in my gut loathing of anything I regularly do kind of sick. I don't want to go to work today, but that's not really a choice. I just want to burry myself in my bed and hope I wake up to something worth getting up. I seriously think I may be...

Figure out what the most important thing in your life is and make everything else revolve around that: like you said, its band practice that makes you feel better. Thats probably your subconcious trying to tell you something. What could you most easily lose and still get by? That T.V. thing sounds like the least important, and maybe you could drop some classes(?); you kind of need to have a job, but if its music thats really important to you, you really need to focus most of your energy on that. If you don't like your job, quit and work at a music shop or something, and then you'll be around music while your working.
