The time has come for my to now say I'm an old man. Our team got back to it's winning ways yesterday 12-6, but in the process, I popped my left hamstring beating out an infield hit. Injuries have never kept me out of a game in the past. I've only been truly hurt only once in my sports life and for that injury (left knee) I sat out of practice for a week, but was able to play without missing a game. Now, my old ass has managed to pull not one; but both hamstrings. In my mind I still think I'm 25, but my body is telling me (fool you're not the young man you use to be!) and that sucks. The good news is we don't play again until Tuesday so I have a chance to rest both hamstrings. The team is now 3-2. Oh yeah, our best player didn't quit, and he hit a two run homer for his third shot in five games. I played in the field for the first and had two errors at first, but overall the team improved. The team awarded my the game ball because of the big day I had up until the hamstring injury. I went 2-2 with a walk, 3 runs scored and RBI.
