There's this weird feeling you get when you're getting to know someone. You sit there and listen, and smile to show you're interested in what's being said. Maybe throw out some witty banter to make them laugh, and as the butterflies make their way through your internal organs you think to yourself "I could see myself being with this person."
Suddenly a wave of uncertainty floods your thoughts. "What happens if they aren't interested in the same way? What happens if they ARE? How can I be sure before I say something?" And the list goes on and on. You start to sweat, and to shake, and to stutter and before you know it the night is over and everything you've built yourself up to say goes left unsaid.
Uncertainty is like the devil incarnate to someone with terrible anxiety issues like myself. In order to defeat that devil you just have to trudge through all the muck and force yourself to do whatever it is you're wanting to do (or in this case say). But what happens if you take those small steps in bettering yourself and you're slapped in the face by more uncertainty?
I think I'm just frustrated. Overthinking. Sleepy. I don't know.
