This band is my current musical obsession. So heavy, brutal, and powerful.
Went to a High on Fire show this week and it was incredible. Matt Pike is what would happen if Lemmy and Tony Iommi had a baby.

We've already had a good release from Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks ("Wig Out at Jagbags") and have stuff coming from Mogwai and A Silver Mt. Zion. I've got tickets to see the first two this year, no idea if A Silver Mt. Zion has any tour plans.
This is all I've been listening to for weeks.

Saw Jonsi from Sigur Ros on Halloween at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. I think my favorite bit of banter was how excited Jonsi was that it was Halloween. He said something like, "We don't have Halloween in Iceland, this is so awesome."
