I went to the Sacramento All American Tattoo Convention last night and had a blast! Got to finally meet some Suicide Girls, who immediately said I should be a Girl too! I told them I tried; they said keep trying, so I will. I took a photo with them - it's on my page.
Lots of great tattoo artists, tattoos, and merchandise to die for. I hung out with my tattoo shop in their booth a lot and it was a great show - they were set up right in front of the stage. Watched the sideshow and all the mayhem.
At 10:15pm a man walked up to me who barely spoke English and said "take photo for me?" So I said, "sure" and he ended up having a full studio set up in the back of the convention. He publishes and photographs for a wonderful European tattoo magazine - just beautiful - blows away all the US magazines. He was from Spain. He and his wife spent an hour taking about 100 color and black&white shots of me clothed and nude. It was a blast. I hope he sends me some of the photos - he had me sign a release and got my tattoo artists' info and mine, so I'm crossing my fingers! I'm going back Sunday, so I can get the name of the magazine and his name, since we had to rush out at the end of the shoot because the convention closed at 11 and we forgot to grab a card. Ooops!
