Sometimes the most productive part of the day is the last 90 minutes. I've got the Husker Du cranked up really loud and I'm just tearing through my big pile of TO DO shit.

I'm feeling really ornery today so I've been writing extremely terse and direct letters and e-mails. I was delighted to get to use this sentence in a letter:

"If these materials are not returned promptly I will turn this matter over to the NYU Office of Legal Counsel."

And it's summer hours here now, so I get out of work a whole hour earlier--5 instead of 6!
