Despite the death and the construction madness and the fact that I just learned my application for a sabbatical was denied, I'm feeling strangely calm and at ease.

I'm in a fall-back-and-regroup sort of mood. I just have to get through three more days, then I'm off for a full week of fun and frolics with my favorite people in the world.

Then, when I'm back after Thanksgiving, I'll be refreshed and ready to take naked pictures of me among the books.

Always remember: you have options. If one don't work out, try something else.

I'm sorry that it's taken a little while to respond. In regards to ephedrine, it's funny that you mention it, because Elektra_Descends and I were just reminiscing over our younger years when we took ephedrine w/ alcohol or acid. We would take it with acid for a "poor man's ecstasy" sort of effect. I could not imagine it now, even taking ephedrine on it's own, because of the shakiness it gave me. Also not good for the heart, so be careful taking too many.

No, I'm not a conventional girl. I go to extremes. Now I'm embracing extreme sobriety, because I keep mulling over in my mind if I had a near-fatal alcohol dose. I hear different things. I don't really want to talk to the ER doctor again to find out.

I wish so much that I could be happy w/ two 6 oz. glasses of wine a day. That's what the experts recommend, but I always want the whole bottle. Paired with too much really good food.

Now, get cracking on those pictures, you sexy fucking librarian.
