HEY! How's it going? I've been away from SG for so long, I don't have time to read all my friends journals. But I just thought I'd say "hi" and ask how you've been. So how you been? Whatcha been up to?

Hey! Thanks for the comments. For sure, Espaa was a lot of fun. Meeting the parents (well, old man), was, er... interesting.... "...I would like to meet this Saxon knight who would bring the Princess back to Castilla.." Had been his comment to Yasmina before the visit. Oh boy.... anyway...
Lots of fun. Yasmina's flying back out to stay for a week later this month..

I had a disturbing night this Monday when one of my other Espaola pals (Arantza) had me come to along with her to a terrible hair metal show in Camden, London (Pretty Boy Floyd, Britney Fox, and two others. I despair). What's the deal with all the Euro-chics going nuts for that stuff? It's beyond me.

Hey, can't you send Hank 3 over instead? Please!!??

Anyway, more imortantly, how's that Zed cafe racer going!?
wink smile

Satin - matches the hi-temp paint on the pipes, makes a good base coat if you change your mind as well.

thanks for the email about the Rickman body. That's be pretty neat & the price is right, but the H1 is gonna stay stock. It all original and in great shape & I've got too many others all up in the air with plans & schemes. I keep going around and around with the new 900rr. No money spent & it's a great track bitch, could take my brother in law or whoever along. Maybe a track day would be too interesting a date for the right girl to turn down... But then I think: I have a pipe bender and a welder. That bike's suspension and wheels are dope. Maybe, just maybe I could pull off welding up a beefy but light chromoly frame for the H2 that would accept the front & rear ends from this bike. Plus that would GET RID OF one whole bike which is actually really appealing despite the fact that I just keep buying more surreal

hey, I saw this DVD on the shelf this weekend, almost picked it up but a couple records needed me to hear them more. It looks like it'd be straight up your alley. (although I do realize your amp design style is geared more toward the absence of pedals and external devices) On the same subject, I just saw a comment by you about Orange amps in someone's blog, it was back in February or so. I dig this stoner deep metal trio called Dead Meadow and especially dig their guitar and bass sound, they use them Orange amps.

On Torque Wrenches...

With A Little Help From My Friends

- or -

Paying It Forward

So I was bitching about my torque wrench recently, right? I'd planned to use Action Man's clicker when reassembling my engine, but he inexplicably turned into a douche bag so that was no longer an option.

I rooted around in my dad's tools and came up...

It's okay, all the cool people are 40, anyway. biggrin

Thanks. Needed that...still have another ten years to go before I'm cool again, huh?

You still think you might make it down in the next couple of months?

elwood:
Just went back and read that... That's pretty fucking cool about Kevan and the wrenches.

The premise should have been easy to pull off, had Ballard written it as a porny dark comedy. He took it too seriously and it became boring.

Whoah. I love that track.

(sigh)

Well, I went over to my buddy's house yesterday.

I told him that I wanted just a few minutes of his time so I could say a couple things, and that he could have as much of my time as he wanted.

"I did not fuck up your bike. I do not want to kill you. I'm not out to get you. If I'd...

do what? that is just fucked up, why on earth would he think that? why on earth would you do that? has he been smoking crack?

Maybe you should write him a letter saying how you feel.

pillboxhat:
Jeez. That's crazy. It's so crazy that I have to wonder if he's doing it to cover up something of his that he did to you.

Ahh... I could make wild speculations and spin conspiracy theories all night, all totally baseless and unproductive. I don't know what's going on, but it sure sounds like it sucks. My sympathies. I hope he comes to his senses soon and that this friendship can be salvaged.

And maybe it can be, in time. (I've seen you salvage bikes and parts that looked to be irretrievably doomed to the scrap heap, forever.) Good luck with this.

I made a hugger rear fender out of my original front fender. When I changed to the GPz fork, I had to use a different front fender because the geometry had changed, so I had an extra fender. My original front fender is now my rear fender, my original outer rear fender is now my inner rear fender, and my original inner rear fender is...

Get yourself a lawyer, these guys seem poised to sell some records. I heard this song on little steven's underground garage (sirius) and when the dj said their name I got all "what the fuck?" so I went to find a video to send along to you and in my search low and behold they are from Austin. At first I thought, hey maybe it's a continuation of Mother Trucker or something, but then I found that the band moved to Austin from the bay area. If not some $$$ maybe a lawyer could make a settlement that involved a couple dates with a certain member...

Also, I'm not sure what TwelveTone is talking about, but assuming CG is Guitar center, one of my fave bands, The Oblivians has a song called "guitar shop asshole". not their best song, but I like the sentiment.
