I've had a lot of people ask me why I pick the name Guardian. There isn't one specific thing that coined the name, but rather a lot of moments in my past where that's what I had to be. While it would be quit hard to write all of them out I picked the one piece that stood out the most to me. I turned it into a poem of sorts and you don't have to read it if you don't want to. For those who want to know my story here is a part of it.
the day we met your name was stuck on my lips.
the world grew blank, nothing else could exist.
but your eyes in the light of a dark nights moon
Left this hardened shell melted, I wasn't immune.
With the voice of an angel you spoke of your tale.
For you kept a dark secret within a vessel so frail.
Mistreated by a man from whom you run and hide.
Now you sought out a shoulder on which to finally confide.
I pulled you in close, pressed your cheek to my chest.
Whispered to start, with me please confess.
She spoke of her journey and my heart grew weak.
She ran out for saftey, but not hers she did seek.
Inside her was a life that had began to grow.
She drew my hand to her stomach as if to show.
From that moment forth I knew what to do.
I became the guardian for one who carried two.
Our moments together were simple and pure.
Neither man nor woman again felt unsure.
Those moments of bliss soon came to an end.
For the man she was hiding from came barging right in.
A beast with a blade struck her frame to the ground.
Crimsion now flowing because of the devilish hound.
He looked on to me with malevolent eyes.
Spoke out swiftly, now you pick who dies.
Either woman or child you can not keep both.
He howled in the night while clenching her throat.
I looked on with horror as my eyes filled with tears.
For his blade swept her skin like a thousand sharp spears.
I called out to him take my life in her place.
If only that could satisfy the cold smirk on his face.
Again and again the blade sank into skin.
Now filled with pure rage something was born within.
In the blink of an eye he was sprawled on the floor.
The vessel once in control didn't move anymore.
Now my eyes drifted to the blood on the floor.
The girl I held close was balled up by the door.
Silently weeping as her head did arise,
She had a smile on her face to my surprise.
She motioned for me to come in close.
Then took hold my hand and began to boast.
Through all of the pain and all of the crime,
both babies were kicking, all 3 had survived.
