And we're doing it like thirty years ago.

Small grain trucks and small wagons to try to not get stuck.

The entirely steel corn head so we don't break a poly snout when we sink in a mud hole.

Running slow and no float so we can keep as low as possible and hopefully not bury a snout or seven.

Only harvesting downhill, and coming...

I took a video from the combine cab to show that perspective when it was my turn in it,but I forgot that I don't know how to post video on here until I tried to. 😂

I tried it today. It's actually pretty good.

Honestly, I find it fascinating that people local to me are roasting coffee.

@gadget  happy belated valentine's day! It came with coffee, so I'm drinking the coffee. I might as well sample the entire sample purchase. 😜  As for the sticker : I'm guessing it would be less delicious so I have less of a use for it. I have a friend though that collects stickers. He specifically like stickers that have one of the following: local business, cars, and coffee. This fits all of those, so I have it to him.

Oh that's cool!

I got glasses today.

I got the lightest ones they had.

I don't mind then and all that, but how long does it take to get used to them being on the nose?

I've had them fitted, and again am not complaining.

I just don't think I'm used to them yet.

Have a great evening.

rad! i just got some new ones too... It takes about a month for them to become part of your daily.

Well, it's been just over a week that I've been wearing them..... So about three more until I'm used to them. I can do that.

There's a utility room in my basement, it holds things like water filters and water heaters and my well and things like that.

My house is heated with infrared furnaces, so this utility room has a propane heater to make sure pipes don't freeze.

I checked it last Friday, and every day through our cold snap, and haven't been down since until this morning. This

Holy cow, your karma is awesome.

@royal yep, I'm feeling pretty lucky. Still.

It's warned up. The cold was hard on everything, and it seems especially tires.

The pup (ava) sat still for one whole picture. Sadie (with the patches on her eyes) is much better able to lay still.

I'd like to get pictures of my other dog, rosie, but she's a working Heeler so that just might be impossible. She always comes out as a blur.

Looking out the lane and up a couple ravines and such trying to get accountability on all calves, some Cardinals that are glad I spilled some grain, and checking a stream to make sure it is still running. Also, I am of the firm opinion that jd 40gen tractors are the best looking. They're not my favorite, they just look the best. Have a great...

It's just a way for the fairytale world to be "masked" like a modern one for hiding from the uninvited guests ;)

@aonbheannach I like that, thanks

It's about to get cold here.

I have several comments that need answered, and I hope to soon.

It will have to wait until after this cold snap passes.

In the mean time, a friend texted and asked me what we do to keep the cows warm.

I'll post my answers as a comment, as it is quite lengthy and involved.

Have a great day.

I know that doesn't make sense to most, so here : we use a total ration mixer called a reel auggie. There's videos and stuff online that might help understanding. The big reel in the inside of it is driven by a huge chain on a sprocket, and that drives the augers that discharge the feed.
gschmelzer:
Time to get back to it. Take care.

And now back to fixing this car
