This is Neptune. He's a foster dog.
His family had to give him up, they couldn't care for him because he has epilepsy.
He's with someone pretty much 24 hours a day.
And he's a fantastic dog.
He's just a little clumsy and just a little cognitively slow due to the medicine he is on, but he's still a sweetheart.
He loves attention, and being petted, and snuggling, and baths, and treats, and just generally being around someone so that he can express the love he has for the world.
Before him, I never would have attributed that to a dog, but have changed my mind.
I think he is inspirational in several ways, and enjoy seeing him.
I both look forward to and dread the day he goes to his forever home....
Anyway, I hope this made you smile. Maybe go visit a shelter and love on a cat or dog, even if it can only be for an hour. Maybe there's some comfort in it, and in knowing that that animal will enjoy, foster, and pass along that love in some way.
