Here are some more pictures of the calf that is getting extra attention now.

It's decided that the heart lamp is too hot. First it was just outside of its glow, and I just came in to find it clear across the garage and by the freezers.

I hope some folks like the pictures. As always, if you have questions, feel free to ask here

Do people really object to antibiotics for sick animals?  I thought the objection was to maintaining a continual course of antibiotics in order to avoid infections because of overstuffed, unsanitary conditions that will otherwise virtually guarantee illness.  Which sounds like isn't up to your standard of husbandry, either.

She only took one as hers. The other is being raised in my garage before it's big enough to go to one of the calf pens. He just sort of flopped down after I fed his bottle this morning, so here he is, dry and warm and all spread out.

That’s a good question. I don’t think you can manually manipulate shutter speed natively on an iPhone (I own one too). You can try the free version of a camera app. I know VSCO does. The thing is- I know you can slow the shutter with VSCO but, by default, the iPhone may already shoot at its fastest speed.. No harm in downloading and checking. The other thing is to try playing with the focus lock on your phone. Search that on YouTube. Good luck!

And we're doing it like thirty years ago.

Small grain trucks and small wagons to try to not get stuck.

The entirely steel corn head so we don't break a poly snout when we sink in a mud hole.

Running slow and no float so we can keep as low as possible and hopefully not bury a snout or seven.

Only harvesting downhill, and coming...

I took a video from the combine cab to show that perspective when it was my turn in it,but I forgot that I don't know how to post video on here until I tried to. 😂

I tried it today. It's actually pretty good.

Honestly, I find it fascinating that people local to me are roasting coffee.

@gadget  happy belated valentine's day! It came with coffee, so I'm drinking the coffee. I might as well sample the entire sample purchase. 😜  As for the sticker : I'm guessing it would be less delicious so I have less of a use for it. I have a friend though that collects stickers. He specifically like stickers that have one of the following: local business, cars, and coffee. This fits all of those, so I have it to him.

Oh that's cool!

I got glasses today.

I got the lightest ones they had.

I don't mind then and all that, but how long does it take to get used to them being on the nose?

I've had them fitted, and again am not complaining.

I just don't think I'm used to them yet.

Have a great evening.

rad! i just got some new ones too... It takes about a month for them to become part of your daily.

Well, it's been just over a week that I've been wearing them..... So about three more until I'm used to them. I can do that.

There's a utility room in my basement, it holds things like water filters and water heaters and my well and things like that.

My house is heated with infrared furnaces, so this utility room has a propane heater to make sure pipes don't freeze.

I checked it last Friday, and every day through our cold snap, and haven't been down since until this morning. This

@royal yep, I'm feeling pretty lucky. Still.

It's warned up. The cold was hard on everything, and it seems especially tires.

The pup (ava) sat still for one whole picture. Sadie (with the patches on her eyes) is much better able to lay still.

I'd like to get pictures of my other dog, rosie, but she's a working Heeler so that just might be impossible. She always comes out as a blur.
