Sleep = Out.

Coughing = In.

remember those in/out lists from the late 80's?

well, this one is actually very relevant- and when all the kids will be doing it soon, just remember who did it first.

that's right- Mr. trend setter himself-

GROOVERIDER!!!

puke (that's a fair illustration of me coughing by the way...)

The natural cough medicine i got is ok, certainly better then...

I remember some show from when I was a kid where there wass this group of guys with long hair who would say stuff was cool or "LAME".
Anyways, the last couple days for me are in my latest entry, it's been a busy holiday season, and I'm loving it, which is kinda scary.
starisea:
Hi there! smile

I certainly hope that you are feeling better. *concerned look* Thank you so much for the "get better" thoughts. I'm sending some back your way now. *beepbeepbeep*

So sorry that you are temporarily shelving the project. I was looking forward to experiencing more of it as it evolved. Please keep me in the loop.

I was actually going to try to take a Tai Chi class this spring, as I am currently studying Taoism, and I wanted to add the experience of a physical practice based on the philosophy. Your comment has cemented that decision. smile

Something that happened in the last few days? I spent all day Sunday trying to pull myself and my space back together after the combined whammy that was death flu and pre-holiday madness. In a word . . . disgusting. But things are much better now. smile *clean, clean, clean, scrub, scrub, scrub, washing dishes and linens and jammies, clean, clean, clean, then have a big mug of bhang. mmmmmmm . . . bhang.*

Take care! *hugs*

so- in the few minutes i have to write this entry, i shall attempt to convey all recent changes in my life, and what better (or more fun) way then a list?
i do love me a good list; so here goes-

1. Quit Coffee.

2. Quit Weed.

3. Got rid of mattress, sleeping on the floor.

Quitting weed is a good thing. But quitting coffee? Ohhh...gives me the shivers just thinkin bout it. Though, you should be proud that you did. I should....buuuut.....I won't. I've got other things to quit first anyways.
maelwys:
Alright, you got me on that one. What the smeg does it mean? smile

Tea is much better than coffee, has more caffiene in it, doesnt give you the shakes as much and doesnt double as a laxative biggrin

Red Sunset + 'I stay Away/Alice in Chains' = totally amazing.

Awesome song. One of my favorites. Another good one is "Don't Follow". Totally relaxing. Have you ever listened to Mad Season? It was Layne's side band.

Didnt occur to me that smile Buying a round of drinks for everyone and then its someones elses turn. An example would be maybe that you get the drinks in one turn out of 10 and for the rest of the time you get 9 drinks back. Of course, in Scotland 'jobbies' or 'jobs' can mean shit, so some slang doesnt work everywhere.

Nice to see you back

In a recent conversation with Novy, I mentioned a little mental game I like to play.
I look at a person and try to fit him/her with the perfect martial art. Its very important to find the correct path- one that will be harmonious to their natural pulse and will complement their character.

So- here are the results- take them with a grain of salt...

thats interesting... after our most recent conversations i looked up schools close to me and 'if' i were to choose any of the ones around here it would be a toss up between a seibukan aikido school, and To Shin Do school where after acheiving an upper level belt you can practice traditional Bujinkan. seems that the instructor there is 4th generation from Toshitsugu Takamatsu. might be worth looking into for me, but then agin maybe it'll be more worth while if i get into better shape first.

as far as your choice in style for me? thank you for such a compliment, i will try to honor it.
rickroyal:
You know, I actually think that's the best choice for me. I'm more a lover anyway. Or a philosopher. Hmm.

I'd like to thank you all for your answers to my questions- it was nice of you to put in the time and effort.

Contrary to my former belief- it is now apparent that deeper/philosophical entries get even more replies then shallow ones.

Well- at least in this little corner of the world which is my jornal smile

But never fear fear- we shall soon return...

I've heard of it. I used to work with a guy who knew lots of stuff about all the particular styles and I'm really getting into this stuff, I've been downloading lots of videos of martial arts. I got a wing tsun video that is just nuts, this guy knocks the other guy out in like 3 seconds with one hand and not looking at him, and while he does it you can hear him make contact like 10 times, it's incredible.
starisea:
Thank you for posing the questions. smile

Thank you as well for the 'Shi kin hara mitsu dai ko myo'.

Another piece of wisedom for stari's life puzzle.

I just learned something new and valuable because of the exchange of ideas and words between yourself and turtleegg604, and I just have to say that I find that pretty cool.

biggrin

"I got me some cool new friends," stari sings, so happily.

Namaste ~

I'd like to ask you all a few questions:

1. what is your reason for living?
2. do you have an 'agenda'? a purpose you would like to achieve before your time is done?
3. do you live according to a certain philosophy? can you sum it up in one sentence?

now- those of you who know me are well aware of my slight tendency...

Look to this day,
For it is life,
The very life of life,
In its brief course lies all
The realities and verities of existence,
The bliss of growth,
The splendor of action,
The glory of power.
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today well lived,
Makes every yesterday
A dream of happiness
And every tomorrow
A vision...
