this day job is turning the contents of my brain into a heap of mashed potatoes.

mmmmmmmm- mashed potatoes!

being part dutch i'm partial to anything potato- especially when it's all mashed and buttery!

ok- i was about to discuss film soundtracks, but that's a rather depressing subject for me and we ARE trying to lighten things up following the recent slope i've been on,...

ok, movie ending for seven

:close up on the dude that dies in the spagettie... as the camera slowly moves in he laughs through the spagettie and raises his head, "i can't" hahahah... like it's been like the 50th take and he's laughed on every one... lol.

ok, maybe it was funnier in my head...

re:
eat in raleigh? 'blech' nothing. i moved here from chicago where you could eat at a different place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day for years and rarely eat at a bad place. here it's all suburb food...

as far as where to hike? hmmmm.... the mountains are amazing but a bit cold right now, and the peidmonts are leafless... i go hiking/backpacking quite a bit though and i think that if i wanted to be warm there are some sweet trails that i've heard about in arizona that go to the worlds largest (or maybe just coolest) natural bridge/arch. its some kind of apache spiritual area so there are special things you have to do when you pass it as part of your agreement for getting access... right now in North Carolina its kina wet and cold, so i'd wait to come here. i hear there is pretty sweet hiking in florida, but it's all pretty much swamps and ocean inlets. maybe try the warm areas outside of San Francisco or in southern Nevada...
don't get me wrong though... NC is beautifull. the trails and mountains 4 hours west of here is whats keeping me from finding a job somewhere with a better place to live.
whatever

Movie ending for The End of Eva:

Shinji actually kills Asuka, because she's a whiney bitch.

I'm also prone to potatoes, being an Irishman. I've gotta have 'em with green onions though.

FUCK THIS BLUES JAM-

I'M BACK!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If you're sick-a-sick'n'tired
of being sick and tired
if you're sick of all the bullshit
and you're sick of all the lies
it's better late than never
to set-a-set it straight
you know the lie is dead
so give your self a break
get it through your head
get if off your chest
get it out your arm...

ohhhh...poor baby! Rofl. here...I'll send you a mental massage....

..just here.....

...like that.......

....and there.

Rofl, ah, the joys of the anonomous persona wink

BTW, have you ever thought of writing a movie soundtrack? I think you'd be pretty good at it.

Glad you liked it...but I was only just getting started.....

Slight correction here. I'm studying law, but I have no intention of being a lawyer, hell noooooooooo! I want to work with young offenders eventually. Right now I feel that knowing and understanding the law (especially its major flaws) is the first step in helping those who get screwed over by it.

Maybe I'm just being 21 and idealist, but I hope I can make a difference.

Anyway...where were we.....

I met a girl so fair,
But gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her.
Her, her....yea."

Man- that Robert Plant dude sure did write some stupid lyrics.

i mean- 1st of all- how do you meet a "girl so fair" in the "darkest depths of mordor"? does she live there?!?

now- gollum- "the...

You've got only names cause you're too cool.
You can only have pictures with ten friends or less. If you want the pictures some of your friends are gonna have to come home to "Dear John" letters. Except you can write them all "Dear pathetic-loser-who-is-no-longer-my-friend" letters.

novy:
and just for good measure--

"She had that
Camarillo brillo
Flamin out along her head,
I mean her mendocino bean-o
By where some bugs had made it red

She ruled the toads
Of the short forest
And every newt in idaho
And every cricket who had chorused
By the bush in buffalo

She said she was
A magic mama
And she could throw a mean tarot
And carried on without a comma
That she was someone I should know

She had a snake for a pet
And an amulet
And she was breeding a dwarf
But she wasnt done yet
She had gray-green skin
A doll with a pin
I told her she was awright
But I couldnt come in
(I couldnt come in right then...)

And so she wandered
Trough the door-way
Just like a shadow from the tomb
She said her stereo was four-way
An Id just love it in her room

Well, I was born
To have adventure
So I just followed up the steps
Right past her fuming incense stencher
To where she hung her castanets

She stripped away
Her ranchid poncho
An laid out naked by the door
We did it till we were un-concho
An it was useless any more

She had a snake for a pet
And an amulet
And she was breeding a dwarf
But she wasnt done yet
She had gray-green skin
A doll with a pin
I told her she was awright
But I couldnt come in
(actually, I was very busy then)

And so she wandered
Trough the door-way
Just like a shadow from the tomb
She said her stereo was four-way
An Id just love it in her room

Well, I was born
To have adventure
So I just followed up the steps
Right past her fuming incense stencher
To where she hung her castanets

She said she was
A magic mama
And she could throw a mean tarot
And carried on without a comma
That she was someone I should know

(is that a real poncho...i mean
Is that a mexican poncho
Or is that a sears poncho?
Hmmm...no foolin ...)"

Unusual name, but has a certain ring to it. I have to warn you though, I cant play any instrument bar the keyboard. A good idea nonetheless.

That is no country for old men. The young
In one another's arms, birds in the trees-
Those dying generations- at their song,
The salmon-falls, the mackerel-crowded seas,
Fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long
Whatever is begotten, born, and dies.
Caught in that sensual music all neglect
Monuments of unageing intellect.

An aged man is but a paltry thing,
A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing
For every tatter in its mortal dress,
Nor is there singing school but studying
Monuments of its own magnificence:
And therefore I have sailed the seas and come
To the holy city of Byzantium

O sages standing in God's holy fire
As in the gold mosaic of a wall,
Come from the holy fire, perne in a gyre,
And be the singing-masters of my soul.
Consume my heart away; sick with desire
And fastened to a dying animal
It knows not what it is; and gather me
Into the artifice of eternity,

Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make
Of hammered gold and gold enamelling
To keep a drowsy Emperor awake;
Or set upon a golden bough to sing
To lords and ladies of Byzantium
Of what is past, or passing, or to come

William Yeats - Sailing to Byzantium

4:20 update- (i wasn't aware of the time- swear to god!)

while listening to the good people at dublab.com, i realized 2 music related things-

1. ostinatos are very relaxing to me. (if you don't know what they are- ask vitaminpink.)
2. i love 1940's jazz songs WAY better then modern jazz.

Hello kids- Welcome to Vent_Outlet_INC!

the way we see it, there is too much happiness in the world. of course- most of it caused by those godamn hippies- but recent studies reveal that many ordinary people are occasioally happy as well!

we are here to remind all of you that life actually sucks, and it is YOUR choice whether to shrug it off or let...

Something is wonky with my IE and when I use netscape there is no "save entry" button, so I couldn't udate my journal even if I wanted to. I'll figure it out eventually...but I'm too tired. I'll also try to think of a hate list when I'm less exhausted.
suprpkl:
hate:
1. Suburbanites that don't know how to handle the 16 lanes of traffic on the interstate downtown, and then proceed to cause an accident which brings traffic to a halt for three hours
2. People that come back from the dead, especially if I'm the one that killed them
3. Racists
4. Hippies that have become republicans
5. hippies
6. Bad movies, and that's bad in a bad way not in a good way
7. Kelly Osbourne
8. Bad musicians playing bad music *coughWhiteMicecough*
9. People that want me to do lots of extra unneccesary work for them at the Recital Hall and don't expect me to bill them.
10. Having only one boss in reality, but having every professor that I stage manage for think that he or she is also my boss
11. Finding out a day in advance that a show has been added and I need to be in at 7 AM, especially since I've already made plans to go out that night
