Ray Charles died today... which is sad, both because, well, we lost a great musician, but also because his passing will be over-shadowed by Reagan.

Don't get me wrong, I am truly sorry for the Reagan family and their loss. It's difficult enough to lose someone, but even worse when they have such a horrible disease that claims their life far earlier than their final breath.

However, the trend of revisionist history is kind of irksome. Reagan was not on par with the great leaders of our nation. He was a hawkish, deficit spending ultra conservative, who did more harm to this nation than good. How quickly we forget. Express sympathy for the passing of a loved one to the family, and of a former leader of our nation. But please, stop with the white-washing of the man's presidency. Sheesh.
