i think often times people let themselves think that an online friendship is more intimate than it actually is. i have quite a few online friendships, and some friendships that migrated from the computer to real life, but the ones that translated well from online to offline were the ones that didn't start out really deep and stuff. because when you meet someone with whom you had that kind of friendship online, there's all this false intimacy and you realize that you really don't know the person. i'm not sure what i'm talking about; it's late.
