Yellow Lights....
I hate them. My first accident involved me trying to get across three lanes of traffic on a yellow light. Needless to say I failed. After that I stopped at yellow lights. Makes sense right?
My second accident almost happened yesterday when the tow truck that was following me with my roommates car on the back almost rammed into the back of us.
Picture this....
I have unfortunately had to have my vehicle and a few others towed by AAA and have always gotten the drivers that have no idea where they are going or how to get to my house. After I walk them through it they are fine.
This guy apparently was a native. So he is behind me when the light turns yellow and thinks I'm going to run it. I don't figuring that he wouldn't know how to get to my place. Silly me. I stop check my mirror and he is still speeding towards me, he just manages to swerve over into the turn lane, next to me and get the truck to stop.
My roommate is the last person to catch on and proceeds to have a moment, when she notices him next to us. There were like four more lights before we got home. Needless to say I crept through the intersections all the way home.
The driver later informed me that he had lived in my area for years and knew where I lived. Now first thing I ask the tow driver when he gets to me is if he knows where I live. Second thing I am just going to go with my instincts. If my guts says run the yellow light then I go for it because this whole set behavior thing is for the birds.
