Good point. But then again, isn't part of the point of a fantasy the fact that it's something that probably won't EVER be realized? it's generally outside the realm of the possible, it's just a fun thought to engage in. Or, it's not something that our minds can control.

I guess my feeling is that if I have a fantasy about, say, Guy Pearce, that doesn't mean I am any less attracted to or in love with whoever i'm with. And I'd probably choose that person over some actor, because I KNOW who I'm with.

Saw your blog and I have to agree that little emperors can suck. I work part time at a high school for rich kids while I get my business of the ground and I always think about what kind of impact these kids will have on the world when China takes its place as the powerhouse of the mid 21st century. A little scary I think...

Poor Impulse Control
I realize that I am the last person on the planet to have read Snowcrash.

It's goofy, but not without merit. It's clunky, there's a lot of big ideas whanging into each other. The ideas it is crafted from: Julian Jaynes, Noam Chomsky and Richard Dawkins popping shrooms and arguing on a ferris wheel.
