My Life in the Last Few Months, in Ten or Fewer Items
- In July and August, I worked the equivalent of three months over the course of two.
- In August, going in to work one Sunday morning, I saved a turtle on the highway. This was the high point of the month.
- Other than work, my life has involved a lot of blood in small amounts- I've been doing blood glucose curves for Fearless lately. He's been good about that, mostly.
- It's also involved a lot of water, since I've been bathing Baby lately (it's helping her with some skin issues). She has not been so good about this- so this has also involved some blood. All mine.
- Lately, I've been able to take some time off. It all seems to get spent in naps or vet trips.
- I've been watching Grimm and Once Upon a Time, and enjoying both. I'm also waiting on Burn Notice to start back up again.
- I now fast four days a week (two separate two-day fasts). It seems to suit me. I really only start to notice on the evening of the second day.
And that's all the news from Lake Graybegone...

Too busy to eat? Take care of yourself and not just the turtles and cats.

I'm trying Celia in the house tonight. A neighbor noticed me outside, and having seen the ramps with stairs for the cats in the back yard, warned me that he's twice seen coyotes a couple blocks down, near an undeveloped grass field at the end of our street, when he was coming home at night this week. And his girlfriend said she saw one dart out of the shrubs next to their house when she came home one night, as well. They've been moving into the suburbs for quite a while and my vet had heard of sightings another 30 blocks further in on the major street a block south of me, so I knew it was just a matter of time.
