Good morning, everyone. smile

Why is it, that even when you take every single moment you can out of a weekend, and sleep as little as humanly possibly, that those two days seem shorter than any two other days of the week? Fortunately, I seem to be well-rested despite having stayed up most of Saturday night. This is a good thing.

Yesterday evening, I was out fighting the kudzu and watering baby trees again. Yes - all my fingers are still attached! smile But this time, I impressed myself... I was carrying out a big bucket of water to one of the apple trees I planted last year, and the kudzu grabbed my foot. I wound up going pretty much face down, but I managed to fall to one knee first... and didn't spill the bucket of water I was carrying at all! (I'm just glad nothing hard or pointy was under all the kudzu- but then I cleared that field last spring, so there shouldn't be)

Small accomplishment, considering it would have been more graceful not to fall at all, but one has to take pride where one can. I don't seem to have any significant bruises, at any rate. biggrin

and

what do you think the biggest single invention of the next ten years will be?

On the question from last time... "What do you think the biggest single invention of the next ten years will be?"... the one person to answer (so far) guessed exactly the same thing I was going to guess- a teleportation device! How eerie is that? (!)

So, in honor of that, I am going to guess a mind-reading device! Specifically, a practical and affordable control that one can wear on one's head that will be able to be used to control devices.

And as far as teleportation- I predict there will be some very distinct limitations, such as having to have a device on both ends, and not being able to send anything complex. (at least not within ten years). But even so, it will definitely be useful.

Question for this time: ok, remember the you're shipwrecked/single footprint question? Now, assuming you've been rescued after a couple years on your island, other than home, what's the first place to which you would want to go?

brightredscream:
I = awesome and picked the same thing as yooou wink
