The Month of Study has reached and passed the halfway point. All too soon, the Month of Testing will be here...
I need to schedule my test time, soon, I need to just pick up the phone, and call one of the local places where I can test...
In other news...It's going to be interesting to see how long it takes my finger to heal... and if I get a scar out of this. It's a bit funny because every so often I forget and try to bend my finger and... ouch.
The Month of Study's questions, to the halfway point... and beyond!
If you could instantly be granted one talent or skill, what would it be? One realistic and one complete fantasy answer cheerfully accepted!

A plain box, two feet long, one foot wide, one foot high, arrives in your mail. There's no return address, but it's definitely addressed to you. It gives you no reason for alarm, so you decide to open it. What's inside?

You've been shipwrecked, stranded on an island for at least a year. One morning you are walking on the beach, and in the sand, you come upon one footprint. Yes, one. No footprints leading to it, no footprints leading from it. What is your reaction? (Bonus points if you choose to tell how it happened. )

What's the handiest trick you know that you can summarize in a few words to a few paragraphs?

What's something stupid you've done recently... or heck, something really clever you've done is fine, too.
My trick? If you add the digits in a number, if the results are divisible evenly by three, the number is evenly divisible by three.
So- 1000000000000000000000000000000001? = 1+a bunch of zeroes+1 = 2. No, can't evenly divide by 3.
1000000000000000000000000000000002? = 1+a bunch of zeroes+2 = 3. Yes, evenly divisible by three.
You can do the addition in any order, as long as you get it right. If at any point you see that one part divides by three and the others do not [or vice-versa] - it's over. Not divisible. And if at any point you see all parts divide by three? Over. It is divisible by three.
There are similar but a little more complex tricks for 7 and 11. Five is easy enough, as is.
The question for this time: What's the longest you've ever been awake?
I am all run out of tricks at the mo' but had to share this clip. My buddy CodyW gifted me with this gem which I now pass onto you. It's f'in hilarious for us cat lovers.
Cool trick.
