My question from last time: if you could instantly be granted one talent or skill, what would it be? One realistic and one complete fantasy answer cheerfully accepted!
My realistic answer would be the talent I am working on right now. To me, programming is the nearest wizardry I'll ever get... and I really like the Java language. That is somewhat ti the credit of Kathy Sierra - the lady writes textbooks with a sense of humor. It's also to the credit of Sun- they put all the tools to learn out of the web, right there, for free. It's crazy- it's like they want you to succeed! (As compared to Microsoft, who wants to help you... as soon as they see the color of your money). It's also because the language has... a feel... to it. There's potential here. It's good, and it's going to get better.
My fantasy answer? Well, how fantasy do you want to get? Amazing healing powers would be first choice probably. Just be able to poke anyone with my pinky, say "Beee Healeduh!" in that annoying televangelist kind of voice, and voila! All better! But it's got to apply to animals as well. In fact, given a choice, people or animals but not both...
So, I was up at four today. That's my new schedule. Up at four, fool around 'til five, study until six, get ready for work until seven, talk with KatieKat ,out the door by 7:30, and out the door at work by 6 PM. Come home, study two hours, sleep. Lather. Rinse. Repeat as necessary.

A fantasy talent would have to be...................flying. I used to swear I could fly. Would wake up wondering if it was a dream or if it was real. I've never actually tried it full awake and I don't think I should either.
