I love the smell of phantom income in the afternoon.

Oh, wait... it doesn't have a smell.

...and I hate it.

Anyway.

I want to throw lightning bolts and unleash 19-story tall robots on (safely evacuated) Japanese cities. I want to deploy orbital mind control lasers and train an army of ninja ferrets.

There must be thousands and thousands of dashing, charming, fearless and debonair...

And so, I'm done in time to enjoy a relatively calm Friday. (Fates willing, of course)

Just as the Hydra had some extra heads
And Grendel had a mother

Knows each bug hides another

Inside a large? Two small.
And at the one spot where you look the most

The beast is wounded, perhaps mortally, but it wants to get a few last bites in...

Next day, repeat of the last.

Fun with DOMs, the dread "document object model". To bed early, then up and back at it.

So, I'll be asleep in another 30 minutes, and up around 4:00 AM.

This is going to be a busy week. I've never worked on a problem as complex as this one before.

...or maybe I have, but not in an environment where I still had so much to learn.

In any event, time to sleep. Round two of the battle, tomorrow.

Good luck and yeah, rest well.

So! You are right, amazon kinda sucks and it took me about 1,5 hours to find something I liked and that would actually ship over. I tried everything from shoes to make up to books to music to eventually a pair of amazing Diesel sun glasses. love I must admit I have a bit of a thing for sun glasses. Did you spot me wearing the one's you sent on the photo's of me in my blog by the way? blush kiss

I'll try and check back and read how you solved then problem. biggrin
velvet_petal:
Sounds challenging. I hope it is interesting work and not some drudgery.

I hate evil people who steal perfectly good slogans and poison them from use for centuries. Well, I'm severely annoyed at that aspect of their evil, anyhow.

On the other hand, I don't hate police officers who give me speeding tickets- but I do wish they would turn another direction rather than getting on the same road on which I happen to be driving.

I'll...

Riddle me this, caped crusader!

Why would you NEVER want to post the number three billion, seven hundred thirty-five million, nine hundred twenty-seven thousand, four hundred and eighty-six as a comment on any set?

You have 24 hours.

A Matter of Death and Life

So, let us speak of carrion birds.

Do you wonder, if you're one to anthropomorphize animals a bit on occasion- as I am- whether the vultures and crows are grateful for death, or for the dead?

It's a small distinction, but it's not trivial.

I think those who dislike them see them as grateful for death, malevolent, and almost...
