I finished A Midsummer Night's Dream this morning... I think I shall do Much Ado About Nothing next.

I want to discover that I have miscounted my days and that I still have Sunday. But that's not going to happen. So I better start doing all the things I need to do before I hit the road today...

Lately, I'm not quite rational...

In truth my days are numbered such
They don't allow for counting much.
The eth day's before the pith-
I can just imagine where lies the ith...
But at quarter 'til square root of two
I always stop, and think of you.

Edit:

I was sitting here this morning, and a chorus came to...

New glasses, finally.

Also finally, I watched Watchmen this weekend. My first blu-ray movie. It had some good points, but mostly it fell flat for me. I enjoyed the background historical parts more than the main action of the movie.

But then, what you have to bear in mind is that I'm a geezer. This is old news to me. I read it brand new,...

I'll never understand how some people function. I need at least an hour or two of 'awake time' and a cup of coffee before I can start formulating thoughts, let alone coherent ones.
fitzsimmons:
Yeah, I ended up shaving it off and getting a haircut. I have a job interview tomorrow and I think clean cut will go over better. Plus it itched. tongue

I liked Watchmen but I think the criticisms you make are valid.

I wish the posts that I made at 2 am were as well thought out as this one.

And the day is getting late
And the next looks not so great
And the time to sleep is now
And you're left to wonder how-

The time you had is gone and spent
And left no notice where it went.

Edit:

Sleep did not come easily, or at all last night. Finally, there was one moment where I had forgotten who and what I...

I didn't sleep much either, but that had more to do with my cat vomiting tinsel on my bed in the middle of the night. I have no idea where he found tinsel, or why he can't help but eat it when he does find it.
tiger_fodder:
I don't like those kind of nights.

At first it's quite slowly that we advance
Bearing our armor, shield, and lance
On a charger that does prance
For glory, God, and France!
Nothing left to chance.
Then we realize-
We've no
pants.

I think in my own little way, I'm completely at odds with the universe. And a little more, every day.

I'm fine with that.

So, we have an essentially four person team at work.

One is leaving for another job. Another has been "temporarily" assigned to another team. And I'm the one with the least experience both at the company and with Java, left on the most complex web-based system at the company, when "we" are about to see a spike in the workload.

Maybe some day I'll wake...

You are quite right. I didn't make it, just found it, sympathized with the sentiment, and posted. I needed to get rid of my last blog, but I didn't really have anything to say. *shrugs* biggrin
fitzsimmons:
That does sound like it's going to be rough. Good luck.

"Outlier"

Up before the sunlight
Though down long after dark,
Preparing for a morning's drive-
Arrive, breathe deep, and park.
It's an average morning,
Of an average day, no doubt-
But when all the points are in
There's still one that's left out.

I don't care if it's the greatest game in football history... I am leaving and heading home at nine.

It's bad enough I have to go back to work tomorrow.
greaser:
I'm going to try and watch the game. It won't be easy, as my brain automatically rejects anything football-related, but I figure I owe it to the Saints for actually making it this farwink

I got Baby to and from the vet, two teeth pulled. She seems to have taken it quite well.

I got new shoes, I got my driver's license replaced, and I got Fang's new specially compounded low-dose aspirin. I even got him to take the first one without any new scars. tongue

Getting my tires rotated and the crack in the windshield fixed will have to...

Hey... do any of you understand how eyesight is measured? (I may just have to buckle down and do the research...)

Reason why I ask is that I am considering getting my eyesight surgically corrected (just my right eye, I think), and I want to be able to ask some major questions of the prospective doctors that would do the work-

How do you determine...

is that a proper explanation?
aquila:
The only things I know are that it's not permanent and there's two different kinds of surgery. I've heard it only lasts 5-6 years, which is why I haven't done it. I don't remember the details about the different kinds of surgery, but maybe you could research.
