... but I saw it tonight.
smile

It's not that hard, if you know where to look, and don't wait very long after sunset to start looking (there should still be a glow, but the color should have faded, based on my experience tonight).

So... I've seen the last planet that I can see without a really serious telescope.

... and now for something completely different...

Yeah, nice that he won. Nice that the whole thing is over. I won't have our warehouse managers calling the guy next to my cube asking for Tiger/Masters updates six times a day now, too.

Morning's here.
It's time to go.
But I just want to sleep, you know.
The bed looks good.
The day looks bad.
And I'd much more happy if I had
Another hour
Or two to sleep
In these woods lovely and deep.
But dark is over
and I must go...
But I just want to sleep, you know.

I totally know! That was a fun one, grayness.

My precious sense of honor
Just a shield of rusty wire
I hold against the chaos
And the cross of holy fire

That's always struck me as something that has a very hard-boiled/noir-y feel to it.

Some things are just best avoided.

And other things, best flaunted.

now, tired is as tired does
not stopping "when" or "if", because
the line of sense is frayed indeed
and will not listen to your need

this world is woven up in knots
and clumped with frantic, fiendish plots
the line of sense is frayed indeed
and drawn in ink that artists bleed

have you watched the world of men?
have you stopped to count...

It may be awhile before I have much interesting to say, or before I continue where I left off. Work is a bit of a pressure cooker at the moment, and honestly, when I have time away, by the time I forget everything that's being thrown at me... it's time to go back to it. Pretty much.

I'm still going to try to see Mercury...

Oh, Sir Heracles Ponce is our villain
He's ruthless, and cunning, and cold
And nine tenths of the crimes he's committed
Can only be whispered when told-
For he hires a stable of lawyers
Who pursue litigation at will
And if you make rash accusations
You'll soon have no cash in the till.

It's funny how both of his parents
Perished when he was...

The Ballad of Janet Plantagenet

Special Agent Janet Plantagenet, while special, was for sure not a gent-
When she was sent on a mission, there could be just one thing that was meant:
That she would come home forthwith either bearing her shield or on it[1]-
And for her story she gets a...

If you come seeking sense in sound
Soon you'll see there's none around-
The cupboard's bare with dust on shelf.
If you want reason, well- service, self!
Jane Austen titles need not apply
As line by line this verse rolls by.
I may be clearer at some point soon...
Or I may not.
Check back 'round noon.

As always, my darling, I'm impressed.

Good thoughts for the next few days, folks...
I'll be back this weekend, most likely.

Meanwhile, as always, I hope all is well with all of you. smile

I finished Much Ado About Nothing tonight. Of all the Shakespeare I've read in my resolution to read all his plays [that I haven't read already] this year, it is my favorite, well-written, and a true comedy. Actually, I think it's my favorite of them all, period. I find the sparring between Beatrice and Benedick especially romantic, and right-feeling.

On the other hand, Claudio's rather...
