My Holly is leaving me...

TODAY.



She is out in my back yard right now, getting some stuff together while I burn her a few last CDs. Then we go by her house to pick up a few things, and she's off.

Off.

This isn't a little vacation... not a hop skip or jump away. She is moving for good. Well, for however long it takes to finish at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.

She and Steve are driving to Anchorage. Now. Today.

All the last minute parties are over... the last time at the bar, the last lunch at the diner, the last chillin time in my yard.

Soon we will have our last hug.

OK, so I'm going to visit her in July... but that's for 10 days. What's 10 days out of the hundreds that she will be gone?

I'll finish this later. Gotta savor the moment.
