Yee Haa! Clover's set is up! Go take a look, she's got the hottest body on the East Coast. And she's not afraid to let us see it! I'm certainly thankful.
Yay Gooble!
It was a success. I counted approximately 60 people throughout the evening, and I believe at the peak of the party about 40 of those people were all crammed in at once. Yikes! It was like sardines. But it was good! I love my friends. I think the best part of these parties is re-discovering my friends. There are so many people I don't see enough. Somehow at these huge parties I always spend a bit of quality time with a few people that I haven't talked to enough, and it just makes me wish I had more time to spend with them.
My favorite part of any party is the chill time after most people have left, and everyone who is left is mellowed out and in a great conversational mood. This is after the rowdies have passed out, the considerate folks have started to clean up a little bit, and everyone is in a comfortable friendly bonding mood. It's like Sunday at Folk Fest. That mood usually lasts until the next day, and the people who spent the night hang out and keep the good vibes going. I wish I knew a way to bring that part of the party sooner. Not that the earlier crazier moments are bad... I think the wackiest part of this party was when Eric sucked up an entire can of cranberry sauce with no hands. I think he got about $25 for doing it.
The SG community was well represented, with Gadget, aragorn97, Clover, JohnnyT, quietlythere, oldskoolpat, and LieLock all there. Thank you guys for coming! Gadget brought a kick-ass cheddar corn chowder and bread that she baked, Clover and JohnnyT brought a truckful of food, and LieLock made the most awesome sweet potato casserole I've ever had. With pecans!!! Mmm...
Now I have to figure out when will be the next Goob party? I was thinking of having some kind of post-Gooble party on Saturday night, but I'm probably going to Joe's party on Friday, which takes up the entire weekend. That would leave me no time for chilling with individual people... Ah well, perhaps I can convince them to come here Saturday. Then try to get together with other folks on weeknights.
I've just come home from dinner at my parents' house, and I am super-stuffed. Last night people were saying the turkey and all the other food was so good, it was gonna make the actual Thanksgiving dinner the next day seem like nothing. Well, I knew better than to think that- my turkey was okay, but my MOM's turkey was fucking amazing. I love my family and all our traditions. I'm thankful that my family is so close. We all get along surprisingly well, and we have so much fun together. I know I am lucky to have them.
And I like to pretend I make the best apple pie in the world, but my Mom beat me. Again.
Ok, I have to stop pretending that this is a 4-day weekend. It feels like it ought to be, but I have to work a full day tomorrow plus a few hours in the evening, a full day Saturday, and then at the restaurant on Sunday evening. Today was my only full day off this month. It was really nice, though. I am going to bed happy.
I have tons of pictures, which I will post on my website later, when I have time. Goodnight, all! Have a lovely weekend, but STAY OUT OF THE MALL!!!

I am pretty jealous of Gooble. I need to have a big party, thats somethign I really miss about my old house in NY. It was party central.
