Well, I figured out the perfect time to discuss wages today.

After like 4 hours of clear coat spraying trim board, my boss and I decided to take lunch.

He said something about how much I was expecting to get paid and I said "Well what do you think is fair?"

He replied with "I'll give you what you made at your old job if you want..."

I said "Well that isn't very much... I was hoping for more than that."

So he said "Well how about 9 bucks then...that's a good round number...I'd give you 10 but you dont really have much experience with this yet."

Sooo...that was super good... I only made 7 an hour at my old job...and that was after 2 years of being one of the stand out employees...

Average starting wage here is like 6 bucks...so I'm sure as not gonna argue with 9...weeee.

I'm still a bit high btw...between finding out I'm actually gonna get paid decent and all the fumes today I'm totally wired.
