I have been successfully off them ALL for over a year. During that year I went the other way and had an anger management problem. I finally have a bit of a handle on that one, as I haven't kicked anyone's ass in quite awhile (well, not physically).
I had a rough night before Christmas this year and went totally numb. I could have quite possibly handled it....poorly...and maybe I did...but it passed and one day in months...I'm fucking entitled.

Nothing is yet found conclusive. The only information that they have on dinosaurs communicating is the fact they their skeletons have a cartilage piece somewhat similar to our own voice box. It was a piece designed that when air passed through it it would create sounds kind of like when dogs bark.
Did they communicate between species?
Again nothing is known but it is safe to assume that instinctually they would at least be able to recognise the differences between the calls of different species. This is safe to assume because almost all animals in the wild today do pay attention to what other species are doing if for no reason other than to avoid predators.
Do monkeys enjoy using computers?
Yes. In studies where they have used monkeys as test patients they have been capable of teaching them to do things like fly airplanes and space ships in simulations. Measuring the monkys synaptic brain functions duirng these experiments they have seen that a monkeys pleasure center in the brain has been stimulated therefore suggesting that they like the activity they are doing ie using computers.
Do cats and dogs gain emotional satisfaction from communication with humans?
The belief is that yes dogs and cats get emotional satisfaction from interactions with humans. Again measuring brain functions and behavior studies has shown that cats and dogs exhibit certain behaviors when they are happy and that they also exhibit this same behavior when interacting with humans.
As far as your friend bailing I am sorry. I have had that happen to me on a number of occasions. I dunno I think people on this planet are too far self absorbed to think about how they make others feel over half the time.
And lastly it is funny cause I always told my parents and my friends that I wanted to be a philanthropist when I grow up. You can bet if I was I would buy you that dress.
